Summary

CopyEasy is designed as a private, local iPhone text snippet manager. The app lets you save reusable text snippets, tap a saved item to copy it to the iOS clipboard, and paste that text into other apps.

CopyEasy does not collect personal data from you. It does not require an account, does not use third-party analytics, does not show advertising, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not send your saved snippets to a server controlled by the developer.

This policy explains the difference between information stored locally on your device for app functionality and information collected by the developer. CopyEasy stores some data on your device so the app can work, but the developer does not receive or collect that data.

App Scope

CopyEasy is an iOS app for saving and reusing text. Typical snippets may include addresses, message replies, signatures, form answers, notes, templates, or other text you decide to save.

Because snippets are created by you, they may contain personal information if you choose to enter it. Please avoid saving sensitive information such as passwords, one-time codes, government identity numbers, payment card numbers, private keys, medical records, or other confidential material unless you understand the risks of keeping that text on your device and copying it to the system clipboard.

Information the Developer Collects

The developer of CopyEasy does not collect personal data through the app.

CopyEasy does not collect, receive, transmit, sell, rent, or share:

If you purchase or download CopyEasy through the App Store, Apple may process information related to that transaction under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy. CopyEasy does not receive your App Store payment details.

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

CopyEasy stores app data locally on your device so the app can show your snippets and preferences across launches. This local data may include:

This data is used only to provide CopyEasy’s core features inside the app. It is stored using iOS local app storage, including UserDefaults. It is not uploaded by CopyEasy to a developer server.

Clipboard Behavior

CopyEasy interacts with the iOS clipboard only for user-directed actions.

When you tap a saved snippet, CopyEasy writes that snippet’s text to the system clipboard so you can paste it into another app.

When you are creating or editing a snippet and tap the clipboard fill action, CopyEasy reads the current text from the system clipboard and places it into the snippet editor. CopyEasy does not continuously monitor the clipboard. It does not read clipboard content in the background. It does not upload clipboard content.

The iOS clipboard is a system feature. After text is placed on the clipboard, iOS and apps where you paste may be able to access that clipboard content according to Apple’s platform behavior and your actions. To remove sensitive text from the clipboard, you can copy different text, use system clipboard controls where available, or follow the behavior provided by your iOS version.

CopyEasy includes local search so you can find saved snippets by title or content. Search text is processed on your device. CopyEasy does not send search queries to a server.

Accounts and Sign-In

CopyEasy does not require an account and does not include a sign-in system. The app does not ask for a username, password, personal contact details, or social login.

Network Use

CopyEasy is designed to work without a developer-operated network service. The app does not upload saved snippets, download remote user data, sync through a CopyEasy account, or communicate with a developer backend for app functionality.

Normal App Store download, purchase, update, and receipt behavior may involve Apple services outside the app. Those services are governed by Apple’s own privacy practices.

Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising

CopyEasy does not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or cross-app tracking technologies.

CopyEasy does not track you across apps or websites. CopyEasy does not build an advertising profile. CopyEasy does not sell or share personal data for advertising.

Third-Party Services

CopyEasy does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, account, cloud sync, or marketing services.

The app is distributed through Apple’s App Store and runs on iOS. Apple may provide operating system services, App Store services, purchase processing, updates, crash diagnostics, and other platform functionality according to Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.

Permissions

CopyEasy does not request access to your camera, microphone, photos, location, contacts, calendars, reminders, Bluetooth, local network, motion sensors, or health data.

CopyEasy uses the system clipboard for explicit copy and paste actions described above. CopyEasy may use iOS haptic or notification feedback to confirm a successful copy action, but this feedback does not collect personal data.

Data Retention

Saved snippets and preferences remain on your device until you edit them, delete them, reset app data through iOS behavior, or delete the app.

CopyEasy does not keep a server-side copy because the app does not upload your snippets to a developer server.

Depending on your iOS and Apple account settings, local app data may be included in device backups managed by Apple, such as iCloud Backup or computer backups. CopyEasy does not control Apple’s backup systems. You can manage backups in iOS settings and Apple’s account settings.

Data Deletion and User Control

You can delete individual snippets inside CopyEasy. Deleted snippets are removed from the app’s local saved snippet list.

You can delete CopyEasy from your device to remove the app and its locally stored app data according to iOS behavior.

You control what text you save as a snippet. You also control when a snippet is copied to the clipboard by tapping it.

Security

CopyEasy relies on iOS app sandboxing and local device storage protections. Other apps cannot directly read CopyEasy’s local app container through normal iOS app sandbox rules.

The security of local app data also depends on your device security settings, such as your passcode, biometric unlock settings, device backups, and whether other people can access your unlocked device.

CopyEasy does not implement custom encryption for snippets. If you need to store highly sensitive secrets, consider using a dedicated password manager or another tool designed for encrypted secret storage instead of a general text snippet app.

Children

CopyEasy is a general productivity utility. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Because CopyEasy does not collect personal data through the app, the developer does not knowingly receive personal data from children through CopyEasy.

International Data Transfers

CopyEasy does not transfer your saved snippets to the developer, to a developer server, or to third-party analytics or advertising services.

Apple’s App Store, iOS, backup, diagnostic, and purchase systems may process data in locations determined by Apple. Those activities are governed by Apple’s own privacy practices.

Because CopyEasy does not operate a server containing user snippets and does not collect personal data through the app, the developer does not have a server-side store of user snippet content to provide in response to legal requests.

Information held by Apple in connection with App Store downloads, purchases, subscriptions, device backups, diagnostics, or Apple account activity is controlled by Apple under Apple’s policies.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated when CopyEasy changes, when new platform behavior matters, or when legal or App Store requirements change.

If the policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new updated date. Material changes will be described in clear language.

App Store Privacy Label

For App Store privacy reporting, CopyEasy is intended to be listed as “Data Not Collected” because the developer does not collect data from the app.

This does not mean the app stores no information on your device. It means the developer does not collect that information from you. Your snippets and preferences are stored locally so CopyEasy can function.
