Reply Defaults for X · X 回复默认设置

Privacy Policy

Effective: September 20, 2026 · Updated: September 22, 2026

This policy describes Reply Defaults for X, a Chrome extension developed by Tom. It covers the public version 0.3.5 and the same data practices in version 0.3.6. The current extension interface is English.

Purpose

The extension remembers your preferred reply audience and uses X’s native reply controls to apply it to new blank post composers on https://x.com/*. You can disable the feature or change the audience manually. The extension does not automatically publish posts.

Data processed on your device

This local processing is necessary for the extension’s single purpose. Page content and interaction state are not sent to the developer. Temporary state is held in the page’s memory and is discarded when that page is unloaded; it is not a saved activity record.

Permissions

Storage is used only to remember your preferences. Access to x.com allows the packaged content scripts to find and operate X’s native reply controls. The extension does not request access to other websites, cookies, passwords or authentication tokens.

Network, sharing and third parties

The extension contains no analytics or advertising SDKs, telemetry, remote executable code or developer-server requests. We do not receive, sell or share the page content or interaction data processed by the extension, and do not use it for advertising, creditworthiness or lending decisions.

The popup includes optional links to the developer’s X profile and an external support destination. They open only when you click them. The destination may process ordinary request data, such as your IP address, cookies and information you choose to provide, under its own policies. The extension does not attach draft text, account identifiers or local preferences to these links.

Operating X’s native controls may cause X itself to make requests as part of its normal service. X handles those requests and your X account under its own policies; this extension is not affiliated with X. Chrome and Chrome Web Store also operate under Google’s own policies.

Your choices and deletion

You can change the default audience in the extension popup or turn off automatic setting. Turning it off does not delete the saved preferences. Uninstalling the extension removes its local extension storage through Chrome. Existing posts and data held by X are not deleted by uninstalling this extension.

Contact and voluntary support messages

For privacy questions, contact the developer through the public @blocktom profile on X. X may require you to sign in to contact the developer. Send only the information needed to explain your question; do not send passwords, authentication tokens or private draft text. If you voluntarily send a support message, its contents are used to respond to your request, and the communication platform processes that message under its own policies. Support messages are separate from the extension’s local processing.

This policy website

Opening this page makes an ordinary HTTPS request to blocktom.com, hosted on Cloudflare. Hosting infrastructure may process technical request data, such as your IP address, to deliver and protect the page. This is separate from extension use: the extension does not automatically contact this page or send draft text to it.

Limited Use and changes

The extension’s use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information accessed by the extension is used only for its stated reply-audience functionality.

If the extension’s data practices change, this policy and applicable store disclosures will be updated. The date above identifies the latest policy revision.
