Reply Defaults for X · Safari for Mac

Privacy Policy

Effective: September 25, 2026 · Updated: September 25, 2026

This policy applies to Reply Defaults for X, the Safari extension for Mac developed by Tom, version 0.3.6. It does not describe the separate Chrome edition. The Mac edition has an English interface, no advertising, no subscription and no in-app purchases.

What happens on your Mac

The extension remembers your chosen reply audience and enabled/disabled preference in Safari’s local extension storage (browser.storage.local). These preferences are not uploaded to the developer or stored in browser sync by this extension.

With your permission to access x.com, the extension reads page elements to identify blank post composers and operate X’s native reply controls. It temporarily checks composer text to avoid changing an existing text draft. It responds to click, keyboard, focus and page events to respect manual changes. It does not save draft text, account identifiers, keystroke logs, click histories or browsing histories. Temporary page state is discarded when the page is unloaded.

The extension never publishes a post. Always check the audience shown by X before posting yourself.

Collection and sharing

The developer does not collect or receive data from the extension. There are no analytics or advertising SDKs, telemetry, remote executable code or developer-server requests. The app does not access your X password, cookies or authentication tokens. It does not sell or share data, use data for advertising, or track you across apps or websites.

Apple handles the Mac App Store purchase and distribution under its own policies. We do not receive your payment-card details. X handles your account, posts and requests made by its native controls under its own policies. Neither service is operated by this developer.

The optional developer-profile link opens X only when you click it. It does not include your draft text or saved preferences. X may process ordinary request data, such as your IP address and cookies, under its policies. The Safari edition has no sponsor or referral destination.

Your choices

Change your audience or pause automatic selection from Safari’s toolbar popup. Turning the feature off does not erase the saved preference. You can revoke x.com access or disable the extension in Safari Settings. To remove the app, follow macOS’s normal uninstall process; local extension data is managed by Safari and macOS. This does not delete your posts or any data held by X.

Support and this website

For questions or deletion requests about any support correspondence you voluntarily send, email [email protected] or visit the Safari edition support page. Do not include passwords, authentication tokens or private drafts. Support messages are used to answer your request, separately from extension operation.

Opening this website makes an HTTPS request to blocktom.com, hosted by Cloudflare. Hosting infrastructure may process technical request data to deliver and protect the website. The extension does not automatically send information to this website.

Changes

If the extension’s data practices change, this policy and App Store disclosures will be updated. The dates above identify this policy’s publication and latest revision.
