The Four Fast Lanes to Becoming Poor Again in Middle Age

First place:

Lending money to relatives and friends for the sake of face. Time to poverty: immediately.

Second place:

Middle-class entrepreneurship. You cannot endure the suffering of the proletariat, and you do not have the background of the bourgeoisie. Time to poverty: one year.

Third place:

Cross-industry investment, including stocks. Time to poverty: as fast as one year, as slow as three years. If you are not too unlucky, you may still have a little residue left instead of losing everything.

Fourth place:

Children’s education and overseas study. Deep down, most parents know their child is not cut out for it, but they refuse to admit it and keep burning money. Time to poverty: more than four years.

Conclusion: you are not young anymore. Calm that restless heart, hold onto your wallet, and lie flat properly. The harder you fight inflation, the faster you become poor again.
