Summary

KanaFlow Practice is an iOS and iPadOS app for practicing hiragana and katakana recall.

KanaFlow Practice is designed to work privately on your device. The app does not require a developer account, does not use a developer-operated server, does not include third-party analytics, does not show advertising, and does not track you across apps or websites.

Practice preferences and saved mistake review data are stored locally on your device. The developer does not receive, collect, or access that data.

Information the Developer Collects

The developer of KanaFlow Practice does not collect personal data through the app.

KanaFlow Practice does not collect, receive, transmit, sell, rent, or share:

If you download KanaFlow Practice through the App Store, Apple may process information related to downloads, purchases, refunds, taxes, diagnostics, and App Store operation under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy. KanaFlow Practice does not receive your App Store payment details.

Local App Data

KanaFlow Practice stores small amounts of app data locally so it can provide the core experience. Local data may include selected kana categories, selected character types, app language preference, and saved mistake review characters.

This data is used only to restore your settings and let you practice characters you previously missed.

You can reset saved mistakes inside the app settings. You can also delete the app to remove its local app data according to iOS or iPadOS behavior.

Japanese Speech Playback

KanaFlow Practice uses Apple’s system speech synthesis to play Japanese kana sounds on device.

The app does not send your practice answers or mistake list to the developer for speech playback. Any Apple platform behavior related to system voices is governed by Apple’s own privacy practices.

Accounts, Sign-In, and Cloud Sync

KanaFlow Practice does not require a developer account or sign-in system.

KanaFlow Practice does not ask for a username, password, email address, phone number, social login, or developer account.

KanaFlow Practice does not currently use a developer cloud service or iCloud sync for practice data.

Notifications

KanaFlow Practice does not currently request notification permission or schedule reminders.

Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising

KanaFlow Practice does not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or cross-app tracking technologies.

KanaFlow Practice does not track you across apps or websites. It does not build an advertising profile. It does not sell or share personal data for advertising.

Third-Party Services

KanaFlow Practice does not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, account, cloud sync, or marketing services.

The app uses Apple platform services, including iOS or iPadOS, local app storage, Apple speech synthesis, and the App Store. Apple may process data under Apple’s own terms and privacy practices.

Data Retention and Deletion

KanaFlow Practice does not keep a developer-side copy of your data because it does not upload practice data to a developer server.

Saved mistakes and preferences remain on your device until you reset them, change them, or delete the app.

Security

KanaFlow Practice relies on Apple platform protections such as app sandboxing, iOS and iPadOS data protection, and device-level security.

The security of local app data also depends on your device passcode, backup settings, Apple ID settings, and Apple platform security.

Children

KanaFlow Practice is a general education app and is not directed specifically to children.

Because KanaFlow Practice does not collect personal data through the app, the developer does not knowingly receive personal data from children through KanaFlow Practice.

International Data Transfers

KanaFlow Practice does not transfer your practice data or preferences to the developer, to a developer server, or to third-party analytics or advertising services.

Apple’s App Store, backup, diagnostic, and purchase systems may process data in locations determined by Apple. Those activities are governed by Apple’s own privacy practices.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated when KanaFlow Practice changes, when Apple platform behavior changes, or when legal or App Store requirements change.

If the policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new updated date. Material changes will be described in clear language.

App Store Privacy Label

For App Store privacy reporting, KanaFlow Practice is intended to be listed as “Data Not Collected” because the developer does not collect data from the app.

This does not mean the app stores no information locally. KanaFlow Practice stores preferences and saved mistakes on your device. The key distinction is that the developer does not collect that information from you.
