Quick Copy Phrases

Privacy Policy

Effective: September 22, 2026 · Updated: September 22, 2026

This policy describes Quick Copy Phrases, a Chrome extension developed by Tom. It covers version 1.2.2. The extension interface is English; saved text is not translated.

Purpose and local storage

Quick Copy lets you save, search, edit and copy reusable text. Phrase titles, contents and order are stored in chrome.storage.local in your Chrome profile. The extension does not upload phrases to a developer server or use Chrome storage sync. Older installations may retain an unused language preference.

Search, editing and import validation run on your device. Unsaved drafts, search state and deletion undo are temporary and are not automatically preserved when the popup closes.

Clipboard and backups

Clicking Copy writes the selected phrase to your system clipboard. The extension does not read clipboard history or monitor typing on websites. Other applications or system clipboard features may access clipboard contents under their own settings.

Export downloads a JSON file containing your saved phrases and an export timestamp. Import reads a file you select, previews additions and merges them only after confirmation. Backups contain readable phrase text; keep them somewhere appropriate for their contents. Transferring or sharing an exported file is your choice.

Permissions and network access

The extension requests the storage permission to save the library. It does not request access to website content, browsing history, cookies, passwords or account tokens. Core phrase management works offline. There is no extension account, analytics SDK, telemetry, remote executable code or automatic developer-server upload.

The popup has optional links to the developer’s X profile and a third-party referral destination. They open only when clicked. The referral destination includes a developer referral code, and the developer may earn a commission if you sign up. Registration is not required to use extension features.

The extension does not attach your phrase text, saved titles or local preferences to those links. The destination may process technical request data, cookies and information you choose to provide under its own policies. Chrome and Chrome Web Store operate under Google’s policies.

Your choices and deletion

Edit or delete saved phrases from the popup. Undo applies only to the last deletion within the current popup until your next successful saved change. Export a backup if you want an independent copy. Uninstalling the extension removes its local extension storage through Chrome; exported files remain until you delete them yourself.

Contact and this website

For privacy or support questions, contact @blocktom on X. X may require sign-in. Send only the information needed for your question, not private phrase contents or credentials. Voluntary support messages are used to respond and are processed by the communication platform separately from the extension.

Opening this policy makes an HTTPS request to blocktom.com, hosted on Cloudflare. Hosting infrastructure may process technical request data such as your IP address to deliver and protect the page. The extension does not automatically contact this website.
